Box Office Sales Agents

Alabama Theatre is seeking Box Office Sales Agents for the following responsibilities:

  • Serve guests by selling show tickets and additional packages while providing relevant information, answering questions and meeting guest needs;
  • Set and make follow-up calls to guests who were not able to commit to a reservation on the initial phone call(s);
  • Meet or exceed sales goals; and
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about theatre shows/concerts and services.

Preferred Skills:

  • Well-spoken and excellent communication skills;
  • Ability to multi-task and successfully operate in a fast-paced, team environment; 
  • Self-sufficient and an exceptional problem solver;
  • Sales Focused - Ability to overcome customer objections; and 
  • Flexible availability, including the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Ushers & Concessions Team Members

Alabama Theatre is seeking front-of-house ushers and concessions team members who can:

  • Treat guests with courtesy and respect and assist them throughout the show to ensure their visits are safe, clean, fun and family-friendly;
  • Verify tickets and scan for entry - this includes checking tickets to make sure guests are in the appropriate seats/sections;
  • Distribute programs and other promotional items to guests, as required;
  • Guide guests to ticketed seats;
  • Serve drinks, popcorn and other concession items; and
  • Assist in keeping the front-of-house clean and well organized.

Spotlight/Stage Technician

Are you passionate about live entertainment and looking to work behind the scenes in a fast-paced, professional theatre environment? Alabama Theatre is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Spotlight/Stage Technician to join our technical team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Operate spotlight for live performances, concerts, and events;
  • Assist with stage setups and breakdowns, including props, scenery, and rigging; 
  • Perform basic stage maintenance; 
  • Work closely with the stage manager and technical director during performances; 
  • Follow cues accurately and maintain professional conduct during live shows; and 
  • Ensure safety and efficiency in all backstage areas.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in live theatre, stage crew, or spotlight operation preferred; 
  • Must be dependable, punctual and able to work evenings, weekends and holidays; 
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods; and
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
