March 12, 2020 Letter from president bob wood

The Alabama Theatre is issuing this communication concerning the Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation as of March 12, 2020.

The health and wellness of our guests, employees and communities is of the highest priority. As we closely monitor the fluid and rapidly changing situation surrounding the Coronavirus (COVID-19) we would like to share with you the preventative steps we are taking to provide a healthy and welcoming environment at the Alabama Theatre.

Presently all shows remain scheduled as planned. Consistent with CDC recommendations, we are taking multiple precautions and preventative measures to address risks to our patrons and employees. Those measures include rigorous cleaning and sanitation efforts by disinfecting common contact points including sanitizing door handles, railings, arm rests, concessions areas and restroom fixtures.

The Alabama Theatre will continue to monitor governmental health organizations for credible facts and information. We will remain vigilant and respond appropriately to legitimate guidance.   We also urge our staff, patrons and artists to exercise appropriate hygiene practices while visiting the Alabama Theatre. The Alabama Theatre strives to give our patrons the best quality entertainment experience possible.  We thank you for your continued support as we navigate this fluid situation.

We will continue to make updates on this page as needed.
