Greg Rowles was born in Fredericksburg, VA, and has been an active musician since the age of twelve when he began playing in a band with his mom, dad and brother. An accomplished musician on various instruments, Greg credits Ernest Tubb, George Strait, Faron Young, Porter Wagoner and Conway Twitty as his musical heroes. Greg is a former male vocalist of the year from Star Search. Infact the victory was the first in the show's history that fans voted on their favorite performer. Eighteen million votes were cast and Ed McMahon announced Greg as champion. This year he added to his list of titles, "Award Winning Broadcaster" recognized by the National Motorsports Press Association. You can see Greg's work daily on FXB FOX TV anchoring "Carolina AM", and "Not the News", in addition to FOX "Racin' News" weekends.
Greg works closely with his corporate sponsors, Wrangler, Elixir Strings, Steve Clayton Custom Picks and Holt Custom Guitars. He is also the spokesman for Beach Automotive Group representing Ford, Lincoln, Mazda and Volvo.
Greg has entertained at the Vatican in Rome, Italy, for 3 years at the request of James Nicholson, the U.S. Ambassador to The Holy See, who also served President George W. Bush as Secretary of Veteran Affairs. He also performed numerous times as a solo artist on the Grand Ole Opry. This marks his 38th year in show business and his 17th season here, where he has been honored to be named as "Alabama Theatre's Good Will Ambassador". Greg gives of his time to a variety of charitable organizations throughout the year including the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, featured as Mr. September of the "Hounds & Hunks" 2016 Calendar. Greg just released his brand new Christian CD, "Sing His Praise" featuring the ballard of Alvin C. York, written with renowned poet Jerry Gray. Look for it in the gift shop or online.
Greg is most proud of his bride of 24 years, Brandee and their three incredible children. He has been in Christian ministry for years and now serves as the worship pastor of Waterbrook Community Church.
Rodney Williams is originally from Baltimore, MD and has traveled the world via the gift of music. His voice has crossed many cultures and boundaries. Rodney's extraordinary vocal versatility has embraced such musical genres as R&B, pop, jazz, broadway, country and classical. His voice and abilities have been lent to such companies as Zomba Records, Word Records, Coca Cola, Gibson Guitar Corporation, Miss America & Miss USA Pageant Circuits, and Gaylord Entertainment. Most recently, Rodney could be found headlining his dynamic "One Man Show" aboard major cruise lines worldwide!
Steven Michael Gannon
Steven Michael Gannon has been saharing his wide vocal range and versatile singing styles across the country and around the world since the age of 18. He is from the little town of Temperance, Michigan and is an alumni of the University of Toledo. Credits include Les Miserables (National Tour) where Steven lived out his professional dream of performing in the lead role of Jean Val Jean. Also, Frank Wildhorn's The Civil War (National Tour) starring Larry Gatlin, John Schneider (Duke's of Hazzard) and gospel great Bebe Winans. Steven began his professional career with a long line of theme parks and cruise ships including Celebrity Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, Opryland USA, Cedar Point, Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, and Universal Studios in Hollywood. Steven has backed up with such notables as the Christian artist Carmen and Barry Manilow. He also performed in his own headlining solo act for Norwegian Cruise Lines. His career highlights to date: Les Miserables Chinese National Debut (with Colm Wilkinson), and The Grand Ole Opry, backing up good friend Larry Gatlin. Dad this "One" is for you!
Cyndi Wheeler is originally from Indianapolis, Indiana and recorded duets on three Grammy nominated albums in the past few years with some of the biggest names in Bluegrass and Country Music. You can find Cyndi on Charlie Daniels' Songs from the Longleaf Pines, singing with the Del McCoury Band on Christmas on the Mountain and with the bluegrass supergroup, Blue Highway on their CD Marbletown. She also recorded with Ricky Skaggs and has toured with artists such as Chely Wright and Brenda Lee, and many more.
Jason Cox comes from Eagle Pass, TX where he loved performing in church or just spinning records as a local DJ for KINL Radio. Jason joined Alabama Theatre in 2005 and loves country music and singing all styles. He graduated from The University of North Texas and soon after headlined his own band singing country and southern rock. He honed his skills playing at local opry houses and honky tonks in the Dallas area. Jason later became the emcee and performer for a local country music variety show at The Plaza Theatre where he earned a nomination for Best Male Vocalist by the Metroplex Country Music Association. Jason was a regular on the Johnny High Country Music Revue with LeAnn Rimes, and has worked as a studio singer in Nashville and NYC. Jason has traveled to over 40 countries performing on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises.
Denise Tichenor was born in Indianapolis, Indiana and grew up as one of eight children. Denise attended Lincoln University on a full scholarship. She continued to receive recognition for her vocal talent, and eventually took part in the national tour of Mamma Don't. Denise has been a regular lead singer on the Bobby Jones Gospel Show for 8 years and is currently signed to Destiny Joy Records. She uses her personal experiences to touch her audience, sharing with others who have experienced personal losses in their lives. As a performer, she makes an instant connection with her audience through her soul-ful, engaging stage persona and the heartfelt personal testimonies she often shares before performing. Denise is a feature singer in the cast "The South's Grandest Christmas Show" every November and December.
Steffi Ledbetter is from Auburn, AL. She was excited to leave her hometown and start this new adventure with the Alabama Theatre. Steffi is no stranger to show business. Her career started at age 12 when she began her classical training at Auburn University. By the time she started high school, she found herself singing with a jazz band. She constantly found new opportunities to perform around town. Her career started to launch when she began writing and singing with her duo partner, and good friend, Corbin. For the last few years, the two have been traveling around the country to songwriter showcases and performing unique covers and original music. Their duo, "Alcott's", was recently nominated for an Independent Music Award for their original song, "Something 2 Prove" at the Lincoln Center in NYC. This song and others can be found on iTunes and Reverbnation.
Allison Gullidge is a Lincoln, Nebraska native. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Classical Vocal Performance from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Some favorite roles include Julie in Carousel (Lied Center for Performing Arts), Kathy in The Last 5 Years (Sheldon Art Gallery), and Fantine in Les Miserables (National Aids Project Benefit Concert). Allison spent three years with Princess Cruises traveling the world as a guest entertainer and another three seasons at The Smoky Mountain Opry in Pigeon Forge, TN. After a short hiatus (becoming a mom) she is thrilled to be back on stage.
