Rich Zimmerman

    Rich Zimmerman is originally from Canandaigua, NY, and comes to us from Wilmington, NC where he managed the largest saxophone repair shop in the USA. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Music Education at SUNY Fredonia and has studied saxophone, flute and clarinet with many accomplished musicians and instructors. Before heading south, Rich was based in Brooklyn, NY, as a music teacher, instructor and performer in NYC and Boston areas. Playing a variety of woodwind instruments Rich has always loved performing in a variety of musical settings. He made the leap from managing saxophones full-time to playing full-time after performing and touring with a variety of groups, most notably The Temptations, The Four Tops, The Harry James Orchestra and The Glenn Miller Orchestra.
Bobby Gabriele

    Bobby Gabriele comes to Myrtle Beach from LA, and is thrilled to be the bandleader and drummer for the Alabama Theatre. After attending music school at Interlochen Arts Academy and the University of Michigan, he headed west and continued his percussion studies at The Musicians Institute of Technology in Hollywood. Upon graduation, he received the Institute's Player of the Year award, a Zildjian endorsement and a teaching position at the school. Bobby's professional credits include hundreds of sessions and TV appearances including Murder She Wrote, Beverly Hills 90210, Lois and Clark and the hit movie Men at Work.
Kenny Duncan

    Kenny Duncan originally born in Guilford County, NC started playing the guitar at age 10. He performed for six years with his family playing gospel music. Over the years Kenny has had the privilege to work with legends such as Billy "Crash" Craddock and Bluegrass Hall of Fame artist, Bobby Atkins. Infact, Kenny married Bobby Atkins daughter, Chelle, and they have been married for 32 years, with three children and three grandchildren. He performed 14 seasons at Legends in Concert and did freelance work prior to joining Alabama Theatre. Music is his passion and an ever-learning experience!
Michael Duva

   Michael Duva is from Alamogordo, NM. He received a Bachelor of Music Education degree from New Mexico State University and did graduate work at the University of North Texas. Mike is a voting member of the National Academy for the Recording Arts and Sciences. He toured in all 50 states, Canada, South America, Europe and Japan with the Glenn Miller Orchestra and traveled and performed extensively on Cunard Cruise Line's Royal Viking Sun. Mike has performed with artists such as Gladys Knight & The Pips, The Temptations, Four Tops, The Spinners, Bob Hope, Danny Thomas, Nelson Riddle, Red Skelton and Vic Damone, to name a few. He has recorded albums with Barry Manilow and The Glenn Miller Orchestra and appeared on a PBS New Year's Eve Special with Mel Torme and Rosemary Clooney.
Tim Oakes

    Tim Oakes hails from Devon, England, a foundation in classical piano providing a solid base for his later venture into other genres of music; he played blues and rock in the pubs, soul and funk in the clubs, the American songbook on the European piano bar circuit. Based in the south of Spain, he worked with two separate jazz fusion bands and became vocal diva Madeline Bell's keyboardist and arranger. Cruise ship gigs followed, including a long spell as resident pianist at QE2's renowned Yacht Club. Moving to the United States in 1997, he spent five years as musical director on board Florida's "Palm Beach Princess" before relocating to South Carolina and the Alabama Theatre, where he has been performing since 2002. Tim's Bickleigh Bridge CD, an album of original compositions, is available in the gift shop.
Matt Raum

    Matt Raum is originally from North Dakota. He moved to Nashville in 2000 where he has performed with many bands as a multi-instrumentalist sideman and band leader. He has performed on the Grand Ole Opry, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Good Morning America, and an episode of the ABC-TV show Nashville.
John Anderson

    John Anderson is from Tahlequah, OK. In high school he was selected Principal Trumpet for the Tri-State Music Festival and also toured Europe with the Young Tulsans Honor Band as Principal Trumpet and soloist. John studied Pre-Med at the University of Oklahoma and received a Bachelor of Musical Arts degree. He applied to the OU School of Medicine and was accepted, but resigned after a year to resume studying music at the University of Central Oklahoma, receiving a masters degree. John has toured extensively with The Guy Lombardo Orchestra, The Russ Morgan Orchestra and Holland-America Cruise Lines. He has also performed with The Glenn Miller Orchestra, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus, Ink Spots, The Four Tops, The O'Jays, The Temptations, the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and the Long Bay Symphony.
George Hyde Sr.

    George Hyde Sr. is originally from Olney, MD. He has over 35 years experience playing electric and upright bass performing a spectrum of styles, including Jazz, Country, Western Swing, Christian and Top 40. He has entertained at countless venues in the Washington DC & Baltimore areas including the prestigious Blues Alley. George is proud to have shared the stage with numerous notables including his friend and steel guitar hall of fame member, the late Buddy Charleton, The String Dusters and Donna Meade-Dean. You can hear George's flawless styling on several recordings including, Buddy Charleton "Playing Silk", Allen Houser Jazz Sextet "Stolen Moments" and "Karenfi", and Bob Isreal Jazz Sextet "Total Eclipse". George is proud to serve as a member of the Ocean View Baptist praise team.
